Senior Solutions Engineer

Scott Bursik

Twenty-five years in enterprise observability, data platforms, and applied AI. I take sophisticated technology into the room where the budget gets decided, and make the case in terms both the engineers and the executives recognize.

Lately that means building the tooling that lets agentic systems reason about a customer’s actual business, and the automation that keeps their data governed while it happens. I write it myself rather than only selling it.

Profile

I turn sophisticated technology into outcomes somebody can measure. My career runs through enterprise observability, monitoring, digital experience analytics, network management, and cloud security — deep enough to hold my own on the architecture, plain enough to hold the room when the decision gets made.

At Quantum Metric my work sits where AI meets data governance. I built internal tooling that detects and configures data collection and PII masking rules automatically, replacing a manual step that used to go wrong in every implementation. I also author the skills and directives behind Felix, our agentic product, so it reads a customer’s environment through their own business rules instead of generic defaults.

I own the full pre-sales lifecycle: discovery, technical qualification, tailored demonstrations, proof-of-value, and the expansion that follows. I have built and led solutions engineering teams of three, four, and eight — and I started leading technical people well before that, as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army.
